2 views on Christian dressing: What does God care more: What a woman wears, or what's inside her heart?

The Christian community is often divided when it comes to a lot of hot issues, including homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

Another thing that most Christians can't see eye to eye on is modest dressing.

According to CBN reporter Charlene Aaron, some Christians believe that God would not want women eliciting evil and impure thoughts from men because of the way they dress, while some think that God is more concerned about a person's spirituality rather than fashion sense.

"Two arguments usually come to mind: The first being legalism. The second, a 'God doesn't care what I wear, he's more concerned about what's in my heart' sentiment. So how much skin can a woman show before it's a sin?" she asks.

When Ayesha Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, tweeted that she would prefer "classy over trendy any day of the week," a lot of people got upset and accused her of putting to shame women who enjoy dressing sexily.

On the other hand, Christian actress Meagan Good is often criticised for wearing revealing clothing. Good is married to film producer and minister Devon Franklin, who is supportive of her sexy clothing choices.

When the two were interviewed by One Church L.A. to discuss their new book called "The Wait," a woman from the audience said: "I was at a grocery store, and I looked at a newsstand and I saw you, and you had your breasts showing. You need to make sure what you say and what you do match up, you understand? So we're going to cover up, right?"

It was Franklin who responded to his wife's critic: "No, that is not what we're here for. She is not going to cover up. She's going to wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus."
