A 103-year-old Christian woman credits her faith in God as the secret to her long life.

Sophia Simko, who is currently staying at the DuBois Nursing Home in Pennsylvania, said she has no secret diet to credit for her longevity unlike what some people may think, adding that she eats whatever goes on the table, as long as she likes it, according to the Courier Express.

What keeps her going, she said, is her strong faith in the Lord.

"I have the good Lord in my life," she said.

Born in the little mining town of Stanley, Simko recalled how her "wonderful" parents encouraged her to always go to church.

She shared how she and her dad walked for a mile every Sunday to hear holy Mass, and to attend Sunday school.

"If I didn't go to church on Sunday, I wasn't allowed out of the yard," she recalled. "I had good parents."

Simko is now legally blind, but she happily looks back on what she described as a "good life" gifted to her by God.

"God's been good to me," she said. "I'm blind, I can't see, but God has been very good to me. I never smoked, never drank alcohol, nothing, I lived a good life."

The Christian woman also shares her joy to other people in her nursing home. Becky Nesbit, the chief operating officer at the home said Simko constantly reminds everyone of God's love on a daily basis.

"She always tells everybody, 'God loves you and so do I,'" Nesbit also told The Courier Express. "To me, she's a lady of all ladies."

Simko's grandchild, Connie Johnston of Troutville described her grandmother as "amazing," and acknowledged how faith in God has contributed to her longevity.
