'Wayward Pines' season 1 spoilers: Ethan takes on a leadership role in episode 4 'One of Our Senior Realtors Has Chosen to Retire'

Wayward Pines Fox

"Wayward Pines," the all new mystery series based on Blake Crouch's novel of the same name, is just on its fourth episode but fans already have so many questions. The uncanny place has drawn in new citizens — Ethan's own family — and after narrowly escaping death, the Special Agent takes on a new role in town.

The upcoming episode of the series titled "One of Our Senior Realtors Has Chosen to Retire" will show Ethan, still flustered by the mystery of who or what collected Pope's dead body from behind the electric fence, getting a new leadership role. This new responsibility requires him to define the fate of Peter McCall, played by "Weeds" star Justin Kirk, who is now tagged as a traitor for painting graffiti on Main Street.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether or not the Burke family will stay in Wayward Pines. The residents in the place think the unit won't find it hard to fit in and Nurse Pam says that the place will be suitable for them to live a happy life. They even own a house now, which was given by the town realtor. Speaking of which, the new episode will show Theresa taking on the same job and Ben will start school in Wayward Pines Academy. So maybe, the family is ready to start a new life there after all.

The problem is that the old house conferred to them just gives everyone the creeps and the family has yet to discover what sort of creature lurks in the place the denizens know nothing about. Pope's final words hint that something dangerous is out there.

"You think you want to know the truth, but you don't. It's worse than anything you could ever imagine," the Sheriff told Ethan before he died.

What horrifying truth did Pope take to his grave?

"Wayward Pines" season 1 episode 4 will air on June 4.
