The long wait for the premiere episode of "The 100" season 4 will soon be over after The CW officially confirmed the network's midseason lineup.

The network revealed that the fourth installment of the post-apocalyptic drama will return on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, one week after the finale of "Frequency" season 1.

While the network remains mum about the plot of "The 100" season 4, viewers are expecting to see how Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will lead the Sky People and how the Grounders will fight against the imminent threat of the nuclear meltdown that is expected to destroy the Earth. But there are a lot of other drama that need to be addressed while the Earth is in danger.

One of the things that viewers were looking forward to when the fourth season of "The 100" returns is the strained relationship between Bellamy (Bob Morley) and his sister, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos). The siblings used to be very close, but the circumstances that transpired after the drop ship arrives on Earth changed their relationship.

Bellamy saw Octavia stab Pike (Michael Beach) to death at the end of the season 3 finale, but he let her walk out of the Polis tower. This was Octavia's way to avenge the death of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). But will she finally forgive her brother for siding with Pike during Lincoln's execution?

Fans of "The 100" are also expected to see if the remaining Grounders will also help Clarke, Bellamy, and the other members of the Sky People to prevent the nuclear meltdown caused by the deserted nuclear plants that were deteriorating.

Aside from "The 100" season 4 release date, The CW also revealed that the new "Archie" comics-inspired series "Riverdale" will finally premiere on Thursday, January 26, while "Reign" season 4 is set to air on Friday, Feb. 10. On the other hand, "The Originals" season 4 is set to premiere on Friday, March 17, then the third season of "iZombie" will make its debut on Tuesday, April 4.
