Ever since news broke out about Arnold Schwarzenegger's renewed ride as the Terminator, fans of the crazy-popular sci-fi franchise have not stopped mining information about the forthcoming movie. As it turns out, the treat is not limited to a single "Terminator" film. According to reports, "Terminator Genisys," or "Terminator 5" as the Internet calls it, is the start of a trilogy.

Schwarzenegger suits up for the role again but this time, there's a younger T-800 around and its emergence calls for a major showdown. The movie relies heavily on time travel and is bound to retell the founding story of the half-man/ half-machine pin-up. However, the flick will also bring a new mind-blowing science.

Schwarzenegger revealed huge details about "Terminator Genisys" during the Arnold Classic and Sports Festival, including the intricate process of having two Terminators from different eras face off.

"As I (the young Arnold) say 'Give me your clothes,' suddenly you hear a voice behind me say 'You won't need them.' So the Terminator turns around to check out who is that, and all of a sudden he sees himself, which is me the way I look now, and I'm there with a shotgun and I just blast away at him," the actor so thoroughly told attendees of the aforementioned event, as reported by The Arnold Fans website.

"We'll be having some great surprises about who is the ultimate villain that I have to fight, how I was reprogrammed and the time travel. You can't travel through time when you have metal exposed and my arm gets deteriorated... the flesh, because of some acid... so then my metal arm is exposed, therefore I cannot use the time machine," Schwarzenegger further teased.

"Terminator Genisys" is set come out July 1 this year. The second and third films in the trilogy will hit the big screen in May 2017 and June 2018, respectively. Time travel will be very handy for fans with those launch dates.
