It looks like fans will see what Greg was like before he became a father in "Steven Universe" season 4, as the series is now rumored to show his and Rose Quartz's life before they had Steven.

According to reports, episode 9 of "Steven Universe" season 4, which is titled "Three Gems and A Baby," will focus on Steven's early years and the events before that.

The speculations began when show creator Rebecca Sugar previewed a new Greg song to be featured in episode 9 titled "I Could Never Be Ready" at the New York Comic-Con panel.

Sugar performed the song with Tom Scharpling, the man that voices Greg on the show. The lyrics include "I could never be ready for this," which is believed to be in reference to being a parent and a father.

The song is expected to be sung by Greg and Rose Quartz, who is voiced by Susan Penn, although there is no confirmation about this yet.

On top of that, no information about the plot of this "Steven Universe" season 4 installment was provided by Sugar, but the song is believed to be an indication that it will be a flashback episode.

Meanwhile, a preview of "Gem Harvest," which is believed to be a Thanksgiving episode, was also previewed at the NYCC. It shows Peridot and Lapis trying to farm to kill boredom while they were at the barn.

This "Steven Universe" season 4 episode will be a 30-minute special, and it will serve as the first episode following the hiatus of the series this season, which began last September after the airing of "Onion Gang."

Sugar also revealed during NYCC that she already has inside her head an idea for the ending of "Steven Universe." It is unknown when fans will get to watch that, but it is hoped it won't be anytime soon.

"Steven Universe" season 4 will be back sometime next month on Cartoon Network.
