Russell Wilson testifies Christian faith before Super Bowl game: "Jesus is Love"; Photos of wife Ashton Meem

Seattle Seahawk's quarterback Russell Wilson went up against Peyton Manning in tonight's Super Bowl game.

Prior to the game, Wilson testified that he is turning only to Jesus Christ for the epic game.

In an interview with Pastor Mark Driscoll, the Seahawks quarterback said: "Jesus is love! At the end of the day, we are all looking for someone to comfort us, somebody to be there for us at all times. When we are at the worst times of our lives, when we are battling with something, or struggles, whatever it may be, when we are at our highest point as well, when things are going really well, we want somebody to comfort us and be there for us and to say, 'Well done.' That's Jesus!"

He continued, "Jesus has always been there. He'll never leave you, never forsake you."

Wilson is married to Ashton Meem. The pair dated since high school and have been together ever since. They tied the knot shortly before the 2012 draft. At the time when Wilson was drafted for the Seahawks, Meem's reaction had gone viral.
