Fans of the Netflix thriller flick "Riverdale" are going to have to wait much longer than usual for the 14th episode of the teen drama to drop, but regardless of the episode delay, they can still look forward to saucy new events and mix-ups that have been teased in the new trailer of The CW regular.
In an attempt to "unplug" from current issues plaguing them, the fierce foursome of Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), and Veronica (Camila Mendes) go for a quick retreat into the woods -- with unprecedented consequences.
In the new preview, tensions are going to flare up between former best friends Jughead and Archie during a cabin retreat gone wrong -- with Veronica in the middle of it all.
The trailer hints at a possible budding romance between Veronica and Jughead when it shows a footage with the former leaning in for a kiss toward the latter -- in front of Betty and Archie, who are clearly shaken by Veronica's actions.
Surprisingly, the plot development does not end there. Betty's alter-ego, Dark Betty, has also been teased to make an appearance -- complete with all her BDSM garb, though it is still unclear who among the two guys, Archie and Jughead, will be receiving her punishment.
Aside from Jughead and Veronica's tryst and Dark Betty's surprise emergence, Black Hood may also be coming back to haunt the teens once again.
Right at the end of the 30-second clip, a black-hooded figure can be seen standing behind Veronica. This new footage may indicate the return of the Black Hood. But still, right now, it is just based on assumptions so, fans should keep their eyes peeled for the complete episode.
Lastly, in a blink-and-you-might-miss-it-moment at the end of the sneak peek, silhouettes of two guys fighting near the retreat cabin is revealed. Although it is too early to confirm, it may have something to do with Archie and Jughead -- the only two guys that accompanied Betty and Veronica.
The 14th episode in the second season of the drama, suspense series "Riverdale" will drop on The CW on March 7 at 8 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, the episode will then be available on Netflix the next day, March 8 at 8 a.m. EST.
