'Pokemon Z' and 'Pokemon Go' release rumors: Game announcement speculated to happen on Nov. 15

Pokemon Go ThePokemonCompany/Niantics

Up to this point there is no official release date for "Pokemon Go," the mobile augmented reality game being co-developed by The Pokemon Company's Game Freak and mobile developer Niantics. There are also no confirmations of a highly speculated "Pokemon Z" title. However, information regarding either of the two titles is expected to be given out by November.

According to a report from the iDigital Times, the speculation arises from a Twitter post from Junichi Masuda, the director of the main "Pokemon" games. In his tweet, Masuda revealed that he would be making an appearance on the Japanese television show "Pokemon Get TV."

It is important to note that neither Masuda nor The Pokemon Company has stated that the "Pokemon Get TV" episode with Junichi Masuda would be related to "Pokemon Z" or "Pokemon Go" but the report does point out that Masuda's appearance comes one day after the release of the next issue of CoroCoro Magazine.

As previously reported, numerous leaks pointing to a future release of "Pokemon Z" have originated from CoroCoro Magazine, hence it is speculated that Masuda's appearance on "Pokemon Get TV" may be in relation to whatever new tidbit is showcased in CoroCoro.

There is the possibility that the CoroCoro Magazine releasing on Nov. 14 will confirm the existence of "Pokemon Z" or a release window for "Pokemon Go" other than "sometime in 2016." If either turns out to be true then Masuda's guest appearance on the show would be a perfect opportunity for the game director to clear up any questions.

"Pokemon Z" remains a mystery, with most evidence supporting the game's existence coming from speculations regarding the new anime season and new forms for the legendary Pokemon Zygarde. "Pokemon Go," on the other hand, has an official trailer although no specific release date or demo has yet been announced.
