To believe in divine miracles is one thing; to live through and experience such miracles is another thing that's totally awesome beyond words.

Pastor Tony Suárez can certainly attest to this as he personally witnessed not just one, not two, but a series of several miracles on his own beloved wife Jessica.

Writing for Charisma News, the Hispanic pastor from California says he could have written an obituary and not a "praise article" had the miracles not swept her wife out of her medical predicament.

Suárez serves as the executive vice president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference/CONEL, the world's largest Hispanic Christian organisation, serving more than 40,000 congregations in the United States and hundreds of thousands of congregations spread throughout the international Spanish-speaking diaspora.

He says on Feb 20 this year, his 33-year-old wife was diagnosed with incurable leukaemia and was given only two weeks to live.

However, one amazing miracle after another, Jessica fully recovered from her affliction, shocking her doctors no end.

Suárez detailed the series of miracles that transpired. The first miracle, he says, was in finding the leukaemia on his wife in the nick of time. The second miracle was that she did not die after being given just two weeks to live.

Then a third miracle happened when he met a man who facilitated his wife's admission to the leading cancer hospital in Houston, Texas, the same hospital that earlier turned down his own request for admission.

A fourth miracle came when despite the odds, a "perfect match" for the bone marrow transplant that could possibly save Jessica's life was found, also in the nick of time. Finding a donor is already considered a miracle. But finding a "perfect match" donor is even more so.

But, lo and behold! Jessica's sister Janelle was found to be a "perfect match," and the successful transplant was made in July.

After the transplant, Jessica developed large sores on her tongue, all over her mouth and down her throat.

Then came the final miracle. Suárez's friend and mentor, Morton Bustard, happened to drop by at the hospital and after seeing Jessica, he told his friend, "Tony, things will be significantly different by tomorrow afternoon."

"By the next morning every sore in Jessica's mouth, tongue and throat had dried up and disappeared except one! There was an almost instant change in her health. She was able to get out of bed, walk around and even eat! They never did have to install the feeding tube because God did the work in her body!" Suárez says.

Last week, the pastor received an official letter addressed to his wife from the team of specialists who treated her: "Mrs. Suarez, we are pleased to inform you that you are cancer free!"

"Her body accepted the transplant and she now has new blood and because of the new blood she has new DNA! She is a new person!" Suárez writes.

Indeed, Jesus is "The Lord our healer!" he exclaims.
