After Apple Inc. officially released the OS X Yosemite Public Beta 3 and Developer Preview 8 on Monday, people are now clamoring for the final edition of the system upgrade scheduled sometime this fall.

The latest Yosemite public beta release came after the beta testers got hold of the second Yosemite public beta back in Aug. 21. Meanwhile, developers were able to experience the upgraded feature of the Developer Preview 8 merely two weeks after the seventh edition was released.

According to Computerworld, the OS X Yosemite beta 3 update came earlier than the expected Sept. 18 release date.

Those who already have the OS X Yosemite Public Beta 2 and plan to experience the new OS upgrade only have to go to the Mac App Store and look for the OS X Yosemite Public Beta 3 updates.

The public beta can only be installed on Macs that runs on OS X Mavericks, which include iMac models from mid-2007 and later, 13-inch MacBooks developed during the later part of 2008 to early 2009 onwards, MacBook Pros developed from the second half of 2007 onwards, MacBook Airs from late 2008 onwards, Mac Minis that were manufactured from the first half of 2009 and later, as well as Mac Pros developed from the first half of 2008 and its succeeding batches.

Some of the benefits of the new OS X Yosemite include improved device integration between the other Apple products like Macs, iPhones, iPads, and probably the upcoming Apple Watch. It will also feature a redesigned interface with several new applications such as the new Today view added to the Notification Center. In addition, Spotlight has been given an improved design interface and added functions like the capacity to sync with search engines like Bing and Wikipedia.

The exact date for the final edition release of OS X Yosemite has not yet been announced, but speculators believe that there is a possibility that it could coincide with the release date of iOS 8. However, sources claim that the iOS update will be released on Sept. 18, making the double release of Apple's much awaited OS updates highly unlikely.
