'NCIS: New Orleans' season 4 spoilers: Wade son's abducted

Wade and her son, Danny, on "NCIS: New Orleans" CBS

Christopher Meyer is returning to "NCIS: New Orleans" as Loretta Wade's (CCH Pounder) son, Danny, in what looks to be the most traumatic time of his character's life yet.

The official synopsis of season 4, episode 8 titled "Sins of the Father" sees Danny assaulted at his girlfriend's house. When he comes around, she is nowhere to be found. He calls Pride (Scott Bakula) for assistance in tracking her location, but it looks like Danny will need some saving too. Things take a turn for the worse when Meyer's character is abducted as well.

The promo shows Pride successfully rescuing the girl but likely in exchange for Danny, who is later seen standing beside an unidentified man with a bloody chin. Back in the headquarters, Wade orders Pride to get her son back safely no matter what happens. "You better get my son back. I don't care how you do it," the medical examiner says.

By the looks of it, the senior agent is going rogue again, like what happened during Mayor Hamilton's (Steven Weber) abduction in the past. The rest of the team tries to go with him, but Pride seems eager to handle things on his own. Somewhere in the clip, he is seen torturing a man who presumably knows Danny's whereabouts. "If Danny dies, you die," he warns the man.

Pounder previously told Buddy TV that Meyer is busy in real life, so he is not featured often in the show. Such is also the case with Pride's daughter, Laurel (Shanley Caswell). However, she promised when they do return, there will be an exciting storyline for the characters.

"I think it's going to be a moment before we see them again and there should be interesting stories once he's free to work, once the actor's free to work."

"NCIS: New Orleans" season 4 airs Tuesdays, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
