NBC has decided to postpone "Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 5. The network did not clarify the reason for such move.

"The episode originally scheduled for October 26 has been postponed. It has not yet been assigned a new airdate," a representative of NBC told CNN.

This "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 installment is believed to easily go on to be one of the long-running show's most controversial installments yet.

The episode is titled "Unstoppable" and features Gary Cole as a politician, who is strikingly comparable to presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 5 sees Cole play a presidential hopeful in hot water following accusations by women damaging enough to cost him the post.

"I'm a handsome, charming millionaire. Women throw themselves at me," Cole's character said in the promo, which blew up online.

Just recently, an audio recording of Trump making lewd remarks from a segment for Access Hollywood in 2005 was leaked and made the rounds online. There, he can be heard saying that he can do "anything" to women.

He also faces allegations by a woman who claimed was raped by him, drawing comparisons to Cole's character in the "Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode.

Written by "Law and Order: SVU" veteran Julie Martin and showrunner Rick Eid, "Unstoppable" was set to be aired back on Oct. 18 as the season's second installment.

The episode was under intense scrutiny and had writers and cast members of the show shocked of it's the nature of its content, which is saying something as "Law and Order: SVU" is known to be inspired by real-life events.

Instead of "Unstoppable," an episode titled "Rape Interrupted" will serve as episode 5 of "Law and Order: SVU" season 18. The synopsis is as reads: "A sergeant (guest star Anthony Edwards) makes Benson (Mariska Hargitay) choose between loyalty and duty when his son is accused of rape."

"Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 5, "Rape Interrupted," is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
