Whoa, "Kingdom Hearts" fans need to hold their horses. The release date for the upcoming third installment of the action role-playing game is still unconfirmed despite the announcement made by one of its voice actors.

Earlier news claimed that "Kingdom Hearts III" would be released sometime this year after voice actor Bill Farmer talked about it in his Twitter account, saying that the recording for the game has been going on for several years already, and it is due to come out in 2015.

When a fan asked him if his information is accurate, he simply said, "I am certain that this is what I know & have been told."

Farmer provided the voice for one of the game's main characters, Goofy, as well as other characters in the "Kingdom Hearts" series and other animation projects.

However, game developer Square Enix was quick to correct Farmer's statement by posting another update in its own Twitter account saying, "There was a Goof! The release date for @KINGDOMHEARTS III remains unannounced."

Farmer's earlier tweets have been deleted since then. He replaced it with a new one on January 8, saying, "The release date for Kingdom Hearts Three has not been announced yet!"

"Kingdom Hearts III" is the highly anticipated follow up to the widely popular "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix" video game released in 2005. There has been little information given by the game developer about the status of the project after it was announced during Sony Computer Entertainment's press conference at the E3 2013. "Kingdom Hearts" director Tetsuya Nomura remains mum about the developments of the game.

Nonetheless, it is expected that aside from Farmer's character Goofy, "Kingdom Hearts'" protagonist Sora will return in this installment of the game, as well as Donald Duck, Riku, and King Mickey. "Kingdom Hearts III" is likely to be sold in Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions once released.
