Jeremy Lin has led by example, giving Asians hope of making it to the NBA. And apparently the immediate one who will try his luck using that route is his little brother, Joseph "Joe" Lin.

Joseph Lin, a recent graduate from Hamilton College in New York, has been signed to a semi-pro deal by the Fubon Braves of the Super Basketball League in Taiwan.

After attending tryouts for the said ballclub, it seems that general manager Chris Tsai was impressed enough to sign on the younger brother of current Charlotte Hornet Jeremy Lin.

If successful, Joseph could be a new Asian point guard star in the making; although Tsai admits he will need some work to do so. Entering as a rookie in the said league, Joseph will need time to develop.

Joseph is expected to join team practices starting August and will don #1 according to Tsai.

Should Joseph pass those tests with flying colors, he is seen as someone with potential. Could he possibly follow the footsteps of his older brother?

Whatever happens, Jeremy Lin is pretty proud of his brother and his achievement. He shared his thoughts through his official Facebook page, on which he posted, "Its OFFICIAL!! Welcome to the pros...growing up we never would have imagined 2 pro bball players from our family. God is good! ‪#‎fubonbraves‬ ‪#‎SBL‬ ‪#‎kekkeigenkai‬ ‪#‎freshrookie‬."

A look at his Hamilton playing days reveals that the Joseph, a southpaw, did put up some good numbers. He had a career total of 617 points as well as 85 steals. Per game, he averaged 13.5 points and 6.4 assists. Moreover, Joseph was voted to the second team NESCAC All-Conference and even garnered conference player of the week for a time after issuing a game-high 16 assists.

With those numbers, it does indeed look that Joseph is showing a lot of promise. Given time, could it be enough to catapult Joseph into the NBA one day? Check out some video highlights of Joseph Lin below as compiled by Krossover TV.
