iPhone 6 Plus vs Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G3 comparison: Let the battle of the phablets begin

Now that Apple finally launched the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus and its smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6 version, the firm can now be pitted with other phablet brands face-to-face.

When compared with other recently-released phablets like Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3, here is how iPhone 6 Plus will look like.

Display, Pixel density, Dimensions, and Weight

As earlier mentioned, the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch 1080p LCD with 401 ppi, while Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a bigger 5.7-inch display with Quad HD Super AMOLED (2,560x1,440) with 515 ppi. On the other hand, LG G3 has the same screen size as Apple's newest phone, which is a 5.5-inch Quad HD LCD (2,560x1,440) with 538 ppi.

iPhone 6 Plus measures 6.2 x 3.1 x 0.28 inches (158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm), and weighs 6.1 ounces; Galaxy Note 4's dimensions are 6 x 3.1 x 0.34 inches (153.5 by 78.6 by 8.5 mm), and weighs 6.2 ounces; while the G3 measures 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches (146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm) and is only 5.26 ounces.

Operating system and capacity

iPhone 6 Plus runs using iOS 8 with an A8 processor and M8 co-processor. It has no RAM and no extra storage but it has a 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities. Meanwhile, Note 4 has an Android 4.4 TouchWiz OS with 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 or 1.9GHz octa-core chipset processor and 3GB RAM with 32GB capacity and up to 64GB extra story. LG's phablet, on the other hand, runs using the Android 4.4.2 OS with custom UI and comes with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB capacity. G3 also has an extra storage that can reach up to 128GB.

Casing

As always, Apple chose to use aluminum casing for all its phones, while Samsung used a metal frame for Note 4. LG decided to stick with plastic housing for G3.
