iPad Mini 4 release date, specs news: Thinner and more affordable iPad Mini expected October 2015

The iPad Mini 3. Rumors say that its successor will be unveiled some time in the middle of this year. Apple.com

To date, there is no official word on the specs and possible release date of the iPad Mini 4. In fact, some are even wondering on whether the iPad Mini 4 would be coming out at all.

If ever it does come out, the belief is that the iPad Mini 4 may likely come out by October at the earliest. Whether this hope does materialize or not remains a big question though the real concern for many is how enticing the iPad Mini 4 will be.

Apparently a lot of folks are still reeling from the disappointing iPad Mini 3 and are banking on an improved iPad Mini 4 to cover up its shortcomings.

And as Apple continues to hold back any information about the said tablet, all people have to rely on for now are rumors.

Among the interesting ones that have come out have to do with the mold of the iPad Mini 4. It will reportedly be thinner than the iPad Mini 3 and boast of a 7.9-inch display. It will reportedly run on an A9 processor which curiously comes from rival Samsung and 2GB of RAM.

The iPad Mini 4 is expected to run on the iOS 9 and feature a Touch ID sensor.

In terms of pricing, there is no official word yet though many feel that it could somehow be priced lower than the $399 SRP that the iPad Mini 3 carried. Considering how its predecessor performed, there are some who believe that lowered price with high specs could help Apple regain consumer trust.

That of course remains to be seen especially with the new and seemingly higher specs that the iPad Mini 4 stands to offer.

In terms of availability, rumors say that it will most likely be made available through Verizon. This should be good news for consumers considering that Verizon is trusted and known for its excellent data services.

With a promising line of features, the only thing left is when the iPad Mini 4 will really be out. Will it be October? Will it before 2015 ends?
