'Insurgent' movie news: Will Tris and Four to break up because of Edgar?

"Divergent" ended with Tris and Four's love for each other as strong as ever. But in the sequel "Insurgent," their relationship may go downhill.

Not only will the couple face a new threat in the sequel movie, their lovelife will be threatened, too – by a guy named Edgar.  The new character, to be played by Jonny Weston, will be introduced in "Insurgent"  although no one really knows who he is.

VCPost reported that Edgar will be threatening Four and Tris' relationship as he wants to create a romantic relationship between him and Tris. This attempt will affect the Divergents' relationship. The report also said that Four (Theo James) will show his angry side as he tries to protect Tris (Shailene Woodley).

Book readers know that Four and Tris' relationship isn't really a perfect one, and their chaotic world, somehow, puts additional strain on their relationship.  They tend to disagree and argue on a lot of things.

At the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, James shared to Buzzfeed, "I think as long as you have good character progression - which is essentially Four and Tris, the anchors of the films - if you have that stuff right, then if you lose some kind of threads of different plotlines, it shouldn't matter."

"For example, in the book, Tris and Four are arguing quite a lot for various reasons, so we sat down with Robert [Schwentke, director] to figure out the crux of what's behind the problem and we discovered the problem was one of trust and not being able to share with each other in this crazy, f****d up world," James continued. "Playing with that theme, we bring it into every element of each scene, and see how that progresses and damages their relationship. It's physically impossible to honor every single tiny beat and Veronica [Roth, author] would say that as well."

"Insurgent" hits theaters on March 20, 2015.
