With the World Series coming live to the small screen next week, fans will have to wait at least another week to see what happens in the musical drama "Empire" season 4. But not seeing does not have to mean not knowing.

FOX has released the official synopsis for the series' fifth episode "The Fool," and it's explosive. But before that, a little recap.

This week's episode showed Empire preparing for its 20 for 20 series. The Lyon power couple — Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard), who prefers to call himself Dwight nowadays — held an audition to find the best act to represent the company.

A competition among its top artists ensued, with Cookie, Dwight, Becky (Gabourey Sidibe) and Porsha (Ta'Rhonda Jones) as judges. But the new compassionate Dwight felt uncomfortable with his wife's unforgiving attitude, which ended up with Cookie sending him home.

Worried Cookie went to nurse Claudia (guest star Demi Moore) for advice on her husband's condition. She revealed the crossroads of his identity, saying that bringing him to the lion statue in Philadelphia might help him recover his memories.

Claudia said it was probably not the right time yet. But the episode ended with her betraying Cookie and bringing Dwight there herself. The sight did give him a flashback of memories as a 9-year-old child and the worry of turning back into the vicious Lucious.

It was a tender and intense moment that almost ended up with the two kissing. There was obviously a lot of sparks there.

On the fifth episode, Dwight's memory loss will pose problems for Empire. Cookie will invite the press to watch him produce the 20 for 20 album to prove to the board that he is in excellent shape.

Eddie Barker (guest star Forest Whitaker) will help Dwight get back into his groove by making new music. Detective Pamela Rose (guest star Teyonah Parris) will reveal very juicy information regarding last season's car explosion to Andre (Trai Byers). Claudia will help Dwight with yet another breakthrough.

That's four major reasons to keep fans on their toes until "Empire" returns.

It's still all dependent on the outcome of the World Series. If a game 7 ensues, then fans will have to wait until Nov. 8. Otherwise, episode 5 is slated for Wednesday, Nov. 1, 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
