Consumer drones have become one of the most anticipated pieces of tech this 2016, and DJI continues to enthrall drone enthusiasts with their new Phantom 4 Pro that is set to be released before the month ends.

DJI has made a name for itself by somewhat dominating the consumer drone market because of its DJI Phantom line-up that boasts an impressive set of specs despite its rather hefty price tag. For their latest drone tech, DJI is about to release the Phantom 4.

The DJI Phantom 4 can fly at a great speed of 31 miles per hour. It is now also equipped with a new return-to-home feature that enables the drone to retrace its way back from the path it took, making connection loss issues less frustrating for users.

The new DJI Phantom 4 is now also equipped with a set of infrared sensors that would lessen crash instances. What's more is that the drone now has 30 more minutes of flight time.

As for the drone's camera, it now has a 1-inch sensor that allows it to have 11.6 stops of dynamic range, making it a perfect shooter for sunset landscapes. The drone's 20-megapixel camera can also shoot high resolution 4K videos at 60 frames per second with a 100mbps bitrate.

Users also have the option to add an advanced touch screen remote that will allow them to draw a path on the screen to indicate the drone's route. The advanced remote will add an extra $300 USD to the users costs, but it will surely be worth it. Otherwise, users may attach their own phones or tablets to the DJI Phantom 4's remote to use as a screen.

DJI fans and drone enthusiasts can now pre-order the DJI Phantom 4 Pro since shipping will be available next week. The drone will cost users a hefty $1,500 USD for the drone and the remote, while the drone with an advanced remote will cost $1,800 USD.
