The Cleveland Cavaliers has acquired a lot of great talent over the summer, hoping to regain once again the NBA Championships. 2011 MVP Derrick Rose could be vital for their success. However, he is currently contemplating his future with the team and even basketball in general.

Rose had been phenomenal when he started his career in the NBA playing for the Chicago Bulls as the first pick of the first round of the 2008 NBA draft. To him and many of his fans, it already looked like the road to the Hall of Fame was clear, and all he had to do was to continue playing. However, he has not been able to play right after the season he became MVP.

That season, Rose tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee and skipped the whole season only to come back next year with an underwhelming performance. Fans know that he is no stranger to injuries, as he has been going through them several times now. That said, it can be very discouraging being unable to stay healthy and perform the way he used to. This is precisely what Rose is contemplating now.

The 2011 MVP has not been emotionally stable about the sport he loves. He has apparently taken a leave of absence from the team recently, just right after another injury. He played his last game with the Cavs last Nov. 7.

On the other hand, the Cavs, especially LeBron James himself, has expressed his support for Rose. "We want, whatever he decides to do, we want the best for him. At the end of the day, you can't substitute nothing for happiness," said James via ESPN.

The captain continued, "And obviously, we know the injuries that he's been going through his whole career... No matter if he comes back, no matter if he doesn't, we want him as an individual, as a man, as a father to be just happy with whatever decision he makes."
