Charlotte Hornets NBA 2015 news: Kaminsky to take the place of Cody Zeller?

The Charlotte Hornets continue to shake up their roster and the next casualty could be Cody Zeller.

Zeller was the fourth overall pick of the Charlotte Bobcats/ Hornets in the 2014 NBA Draft but hardly made an impact for the team. With the team looking for shooters to fill up their wings which would allow big man Al Jefferson more space in the middle, the former Indiana Hoosier could find himself with another team by the time the 2015-16 NBA Season starts.

The Hornets were actually planning to ship Cody Zeller even before draft night. The belief was that Frank Kaminsky would be taking his place, someone known to hit it well from the wings.

And as expected from the recently concluded NBA Draft, the Hornets did select Kaminsky with the 9th pick, further backing rumors that Zeller is on his way out.

Zeller will thus be following the footsteps of Lance Stephenson who was earlier traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes.

The move was seen as a way to rid the team of Stephenson's fat contract since Barnes was eventually shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies for Luke Ridnour who would in return be traded to the OKC Thunder. The Hornets eventually settled for Jeremy Lamb.

The Hornets have been busy moving and shaking up their lineup thus far. Another deal saw the Hornets land Nicolas Batum, another long-tom artist in exchange for Gerald Henderson Jr. and Noah Vonleh.

Again, Batum is anoterh versatile swingman who is expected to start at shooting guard. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will start at small forward.

As the Hornets continue to load up with snipers, could the Hornets finally gain some success next season?

Thus far and with the players they have gotten, it seems that the team has addressed their needs and seem formidable, at least on paper.
