'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' DLC news: Second expansion to be ready by April?

 Activision

"Ignition," the second of four DLC packs for "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," is rumored to be ready by April for the PlayStation 4 and by May for the Xbox One and PC. Four multiplayer maps will be included plus an additional Zombie map. This is the sequel for the "Awakening " DLC.

GottaBeMobile stated in a report that the first announcement may happen at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016 that started Monday, March 14, and will go on until Friday, March 18, in San Francisco. It is the perfect opportunity to announce something like an upcoming expansion pack for one of the biggest games in gaming history. David Vonderhaar, studio design director at Treyarch, will be attending the said event to discuss the "Black Ops III" netcode. Treyarch is the developer of the game.

Since Sony's PlayStation 4 struck a deal with Treyarch's "Black Ops III," it will have a 30-day lead time over Microsoft's Xbox One and the PC.

The four upcoming maps included in the "Ignition" DLC have already been confirmed through the Season Pass. There is a possibility that there will be three new maps and one remake of an old map coming from the series. A new zombie map is also expected, which might be similar to the Der Eisendrache map in the first DLC, while a new specialist is also expected to be introduced in the second DLC.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user named Ryan posted a cover art for the upcoming second DLC. However, the cover art is an edited version of the first DLC, "The Awakening." "DCL Pack #1" was replaced by "DLC #2," and so on. Ryan quickly replied that he will be uploading more proofs of the said expansion pack, which was more than a week ago.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" fans are expecting to hear something good any day now during the GDC 2016 event.
