'Braxton Family Values' season 5: 'Restraint Thineself' recap

Braxton Family Values WeTV

"Braxton Family Values" episode 24, "Restraint Thineself," showcased that despite Trina's preparations to get the Bar Chix open and ready, her staff were not on the same page as she was. The episode highlighted an altercation that erupted between the staff; to Trina's disappointment, it began between her newest employees.

Too much focus on her work has also put a strain on Trina. Her sister Tamar, seeing the stress, insisted that Trina spend less time working and start putting more effort in dating. Trina is currently single, following a messy divorce with Gabriel Solis.

When Trina explained that she just likes being busy, Tamar responded with a quip, "You better be busy getting busy, okay. You are single. You better go out there and get your life."

Meanwhile, the episode also focused on the issue of Kevin Jr. moving in too quickly with his girlfriend, a decision that his mother didn't seem to mind but was bothersome to Tamar. Tamar asked Traci, Kevin Jr.'s mom, what she would do if her son proposes to his girlfriend, to which Traci responded that it would be Kevin Jr.'s problem, not hers.

The continuation, episode 25, "An Engaging Question," will put pressure on three of the Braxton sisters. According to the official synopsis, Trina's relationship is going to have a "major turn" so it is speculated that she will be facing a marriage proposal from Jacent. How she takes this has yet to be seen.

Tamar will get most of the spotlight however, as seen in the promotional trailer. She prepares for her ambitious album photoshoot, which is not going to go down quickly or smoothly as planned.

Toni will have some of the spotlight in the next episode as well, as she features her new Christmas album with her sisters.

"Braxton Family Values" episode 25, "An Engaging Question" airs at 9 p.m. on Aug. 27.
