The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not the only medium that has been busy lately. Apparently, the comic book version of the popular series "The Avengers," has been gearing up for one of the most promising stories for its fans. The upcoming comic book is titled "Avengers: No Surrender," and the creators have already released a trailer to generate hype amongst fans of the comic books.

In a report by Screen Rant, fans will be witnessing the collaboration of three super-teams in "Avengers: No Surrender" in order to put a stop to a currently unnamed threat. These teams will be composed of the Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, and USAvengers, for an epic showdown wherein the world has faced a threat that requires all the superheroes to unite. Additionally, this is Marvel's attempt at bringing back The Hulk into the team.

The story will be in 16 parts, which is quite a big number for a comic book feature. It will last for an estimated four months and will spark a new age in the Marvel Universe which is akin to the story of "Avengers Disassembled" – wherein the team had experienced separation and tribulations due to the instability and reality-bending abilities of Scarlet Witch.

In the trailer, Senior Vice President of Publishing Tom Brevoort stated that the title "No Surrender" comes from the fact that the "Avengers" will have to "rally" so that they can save the world. Additionally, one of the most enigmatic and powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, Voyager, was also revealed to take part. Voyager was described as "the greatest Avenger never heard of," and a brief shot of her could be seen in the trailer as well.

According to Bleeding Cool, the writers involved in making the comic book are Mark Waid, Al Ewing, and Jim Zub. The comics will be released on a weekly basis. However, the publication thinks that the trailer could have possibly spoiled the story for avid comic book readers since so much about the main plot was revealed.

"Avengers: No Surrender" is scheduled to be released on Jan. 15, 2018.
