'Attack On Titan' season 2 release date in latter half of 2016?

Fans are now at the closest they have ever been to the premiere of "Attack on Titan" season 2 but it all the more feels like the series is still in the distance. Details on the specific date have been nothing but elusive so far. Thankfully, anime series director Tetsuro Araki spoke up about the aspect.

Apparently, Araki was quoted by Yibada as saying that the new season will be out "in the second half of 2016," which means that there's still seven months (at the very least) of waiting to get by. The outlying release date is reportedly due to the "manga policy" the anime crew religiously follows.

As it turns out, work on "Attack on Titan" season 2, which will still be based on the manga series by Hajime Isayama, won't be started unless there are already four arcs from the new manga available. This is allegedly to make sure there's enough material to keep the show going.

The first season of the hit anime series was straight out of four arcs from Isayama's work, so fans, although disappointingly, can expect the sophomore run to follow the same. Fortunately, even with months ahead of the release date, spoilers have been helping fans idle away the hours.

Rumors mills have been painting a picture of what to expect in "Attack on Titan" season 2. So far, there are loud murmurings regarding the possible outing of humans who have the ability to transform at will into feared, flesh-eating titans.

It remains to be seen how these individuals being hybrids think and act, but it will certainly be a fun and interesting bit to explore in the new season of the hit anime.

And for those who thought the freshman season was terrifying, reports claim that there are more horrors titans are capable of and they will all be revealed in the new season when it premieres sometime next year.
