The upcoming 2016 Honda Accord is set to receive both Apple CarPlay and the Android Auto features.

Once released, the 2016 Honda Accord will be the first top-selling car to come equipped with both new features.

The new car is able to provide support for both new features through its 7-inch display audio touchscreen interface on EX as well as through its above trim levels, according to Extremetech. The latter enables drivers to use the pinch and swipe gestures that are now common to most smartphones.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto bring two different sets of features and functions to the Honda Accord.

First off, Android Auto can become a valuable tool for efficient navigation. When this feature is in use, drivers can bring up Google Now or even Google Maps to figure out the best route to their destination.

The Apple CarPlay feature can also be used to assist with navigation, and it can also enable drivers to access music, see their messages, and even make phone calls.

Another notable tech feature on the 2016 Honda Accord is the 7.7-inch display mounted above the 7-inch touchscreen. This extra display provides drivers with a look at the road using the LaneWatch camera and it also comes with stereo capabilities.

Aside from the new tech features, the 2016 Honda Accord also comes with hardware designed to make it an ideal model of the modern car.

Drivers can now choose from either equipping the car with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine or with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Both are designed for maximum efficiency and strong output, so drivers can get the most out of their cars, according to Yahoo.

The 2016 Honda Accord also comes with safety features all grouped together in what is known as the Honda Sensing package. This package accounts for a number of different sensory features all designed to keep drivers safe and routinely aware of what's around them while on the road.

The 2016 Honda Accord is expected to become available sometime around August of this year.
