Speculations arise that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will give birth to her baby in the upcoming fifth season of "The Walking Dead."

The cast of the popular TV series graced the recent Fan Expo Canada in Toronto this weekend. Actress Lauren Cohan was one of the panelists and was joined by her co-stars David Morrissey, Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker and Danai Gurira.

The actress addressed the myriad of rumors pointing to her supposed pregnancy in the show. The rumor stemmed from the storyline in "The Walking Dead" comics wherein her character became a parent with her partner Glenn (Steven Yeun). In the comics, Maggie's character was pregnant before Glenn died.

"There are a lot of people who read the comics and you can appreciate that the show does divert from the comics. There is a lot in store for all of us. I think this season features more monumental change for all of us on this stage," the actress said at the expo, according to Inside Pulse, teasing fans that her character may or may not be pregnant.

The rumors of Maggie giving birth next season was further fueled by earlier reports that one of the locations to be seen next season is in a hospital as well as a report that the show needed an old sonogram machine.

Maggie's alleged pregnancy will have a lot of implications for her character. Maggie's character is very fragile and with spoilers hinting that Glenn will die, a baby may help make the loss and grief more bearable.

Meanwhile, the fifth season of the zombie apocalypse series is reported to be full of deaths, which is nothing new for the fans, although AMC has not confirmed which characters will exit the series next season. The cast and crew are reportedly wrapping up filming in Atlanta. "The Walking Dead" season 5 will be back on air on Oct. 12, 9 p.m. on AMC.
