For fans of the hit animated film "The Incredibles," Disney's official announcement that the much awaited sequel will hit the cinemas in 2019 is good news indeed.

After waiting for more than ten years, Bob, Helen, and their brood consisting of Violet, Dash, and Jack-jack will return better than ever. In an interview with Collider, writer and director Brad Bird revealed that they have finalized the story arc of the film and that they only need to complete "a quarter" of the scripts. He also explained that the long wait was necessary to distinguish the sequel from other superhero movies.

"What you don't want to do is trot over the same turf in the same way everyone else is. So we're trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was, which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us. But we're having a good time," he said.

As for what kind of plot the viewers can expect for the 2019 film, Bird refused to answer. Rumors claim that one storyline that "The Incredibles 2" will showcase is regarding the youngest Parr, Jack-jack. According to Wikia, he is already six years old and a rebel, as he struggles for control of his special abilities.

He will soon discover that to discipline his powers, he needs to become angry. Syndrome, who is reportedly returning as a villain, will allegedly use Jack-jack's confusion and turn him into a sort of apprentice. Then, he will set loose the monster to fight against his own family.

Aside from the Jack-jack story, another plot spoilers that hound the Internet is about costume designer Edna Mode. She will reportedly play a more significant role in the sequel. In the first movie, Edna is depicted as a genius in her craft, being the woman behind the superhero family's impressive wardrobe.

According to Movie Pilot, Mode may also be a superhero herself in "The Incredibles 2." Although viewers have frequently attributed Syndrome's defeat to the Parrs, the website claims that it is actually Mode who trounced the super villain.

Disney has yet to release any spoilers regarding the upcoming movie. Fans still need to wait four more years, as "The Incredibles 2" is scheduled to be released on June 21, 2019.
