Star Wars Battlefront (2015) DICE

Developer EA Dice has rolled out the May update for "Star Wars Battlefront." The said update contains bug fixes that have plagued the game since the arrival of the last DLC, "Outer Rim," last month. The said update is coming in as a 8GB download size.

The patch note for the update contains the following:

  • Players will now see an icon above an enemy health bar if a charge card is active
  • Combat roll will now start on press and not on release, on PC
  • Hitting the Enter key will open the chat box, on PC
  • The invincibility bug when a player enters vehicle has been fixed
  • Mounting time for speeder bike was changed from 0.3 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
  • Animation fixed when players doing combat roll and melee attack at the same time.
  • Fixed issue with regards to players not seeing other player when doing combat roll.
  • Combat roll will now need a 1.5-second cool down.

Additionally, adjustments on auto balance during matchmaking has been implemented, as well fixes on various error messages.

Stability issues were also a focus of the May update. These include disconnection issues after observing other players in the social hub while playing a game and disconnection from the menu when pressing the up arrow in the private match lobby. Additionally, several fixes were also implemented for game crashes when observing the Shadow Trooper diorama figurine, joining another server, and reaching max rank while at the "End of the Round" screen.

Tweaks were also applied on weapons, Star Cards, Heroes and Game Modes. There are several more changes included in the May update for the game.

However, players are still complaining about the invincibility glitch and Star Cards balance issue after the said patch has been applied. Several have aired their grievances on the game's Reddit page. EA Dice has not responded yet to the post.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
