Google is gradually rolling out its new operating system and while the task may be a bit backbreaking, it is safe to say that it won't be long before a number of capable Android devices can switch to the Material Design Android 5.0 Lollipop brings to the table.

The latest rollout rumor involves Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, and Note 3. According to Gotta Be Mobile via Sam Mobile, international variants of these devices will leave out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update and will simply go straight to Android 5.0 Lollipop. These devices are currently equipped with Android 4.4.2 and many believe that the need to go through a 4.4.4 update process is out of the question as the 5.0 Lollipop already exists and is all set to get fired up.

Gotta Be Mobile believes that this was a predictable feat and Android Origin remarked that the idea may result to be very unappealing to some as they will be compelled to stay with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and won't be endowed with the chance to experience 4.4.4, the immediate successor update on their handsets. The stunt, though, brings more of the advantage to Samsung, which can now abandon a 4.4.4 KitKat rollout to further polish the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Meanwhile, Google continues with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update rollout and devices like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S3 are expected to have it onboard. The update is set to bring bug fixes and a few enhancements to the performance of the abovementioned maturing handsets. AT&T in particular is rolling out 4.4.2 KitKat to Note 2 users.

Meanwhile, at the tail-end, Australian carrier Telstra is swaying the 4.4.2 KitKat update, which aims for the bug slays and subtle developments, for the Galaxy Note 2 4G, Galaxy S4 Cat 4, Galaxy Trend Plus, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S2 4G, Galaxy S4 Mini 4G, and the Galaxy S4. The Cat 4, in particular, is rumored to get the update early December. The S4, the S4 mini and the S5 are said to get the update by December, should the carrier get through the bottleneck brought about by some bugs.

Lastly, Vodafone is also in the midst of both Android 4.4 KitKat updates for their Samsung devices. The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will get the Android 4.4.2 KitKat Maintenance Release by Nov. 17. The Galaxy S4 Cat 4 will receive the 4.4.2 KitKat update. The specific date is still unknown but it is certain that the update will mostly address the S-Beam issue experienced by some Australian users. The carrier is also planning an Android 4.4.2 rollout for the Galaxy S4 shortly after an OTA update process bug is fixed. Galaxy Note 2, Note 3 and S5 updates are on the cards as well.

According to BGR, Galaxy S5, S4, and Note 3 users will be able to get their hands on Android 5.0 Lollipop by the end of the year, which is thankfully in the pipeline.
