"Neverwinter," the popular "Dungeons and Dragons" MMORPG that adapts the tabletop RPG's fourth edition ruleset, will be officially launching for the PS4 this coming summer, according to a report from Gamespot. The developer, Perfect World, has yet to give a specific release date.

The game is already available for the Xbox One and PC, although the PS4 version has been optimized take advantage of the PS4's dual shock controller, along with its touch pad and party chat options. It is also confirmed that the PS4 version also comes with all of the updates and expansions, including the latest update, "The Maze Engine."

According to the report, the PS4 release will also be compatible with the upcoming DLC expansion, "Storm King's Thunder." This DLC will launch for the PC this August, with a release for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions soon to follow. Fans speculate that it might launch for the consoles before the end of the year.

The "Storm King's Thunder" DLC will also introduce several key characters to the game, including Cattie-Brie and Wulfgar. The game is popular for adapting many of the tabletop RPG storylines such as the war against the Dragon Queen Tiamat and numerous journeys in the Underdark, where the dark elves known as the drow reside.
