The highly-anticipated MTV Video Music Awards 2015 is happening tonight. To be hosted by Miley Cyrus, this year's event will be exciting with a flurry of artists taking the stage.

The night's gala will be kicked off by a performance from Nicki Minaj. From there, a string of performances from various names in the music scene sets off. The Weeknd will light up the stage with "Can't Feel My Face," while Demi Lovato will keep things cool with "Cool for the Summer."

Justin Bieber is making his long-awaited comeback by performing his new single, "What Do You Mean?" Other artists to look forward to are Pharrell, Tori Kelly, as well as Bruno Mars, and A$AP Rocky with Twenty One Pilots.

During the VMAs pre-show, Walk the Moon and Nick Jonas will handle the entertainment. The former will make the crowd dance with "Shut Up and Dance" while the latter will make all the girls swoon with his new single "Levels."

Taylor Swift, who garnered nine nominations, will premiere her new music video for "Wildest Dreams." As far as winner predictions go, Gold Derby says the "Bad Blood" star will win eight out of the nine nominations she got. As per IBTimes, she will likely be the winner for Video of the Year.

Kanye West, on the other hand, who fans will remember as the person that interrupted Swift during her speech several VMAs ago, is getting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which is equivalent to a lifetime achievement award.

Gold Derby predicts that George Ezra will be named Artist to Watch, while Nicki Minaj is likely to prevail in the Best Hip-Hop Video category for "Anaconda." Hozier's hit "Take Me to Church" ought to earn the singer the award for Best Rock Video.

Best Male Video could go to Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson for "Uptown Funk." Rihanna is expected to go home with the Best Message Video award while Beyonce's performance in "7/11" is stellar enough for her to likely own the Best Choreography category.

MTV VMA 2015 will air tonight, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. Watch the live stream of the MTV VMAs here.
