Macbook Air 2016 news: Release date delayed due to iPad Pro?

Apple

Apple's 2016 Macbook Air may not see a release this year, according to new rumors, stating that the giant tech is focusing on a tablet — the iPad Pro — hence, the delay.

Apple has not confirmed if an iPad Pro really exists, but several rumors point out that the company wants to work more on a larger-sized tablet.

The rumored new tablet is said to be of hybrid design and to release Macbook laptops would only jeopardize the sales of the iPad Pro.

Macbook Air 2016 was initially rumored to have an October 2015 release. Previous reports stated that by then, the device will not be launched alone and that it could be introduced together with the new iPhone.

However, in a new report from Master Herald, it pointed out that the new Macbook Air 2016's release has been pushed to March 2016.

The 12-inch MacBook was released in April 2015, but it didn't make quite the good impression, according to Neurogadget; and since sales were not going well for the Macbook, it may only be appropriate for Apple to think of a new plan.

Meanwhile, the Macbook Air is rumored to have an 11-inch display. It was also speculated that the device will run on an Intel Skylake processor, have impressive battery life, and will feature Force Touch technology.

Android Origin was firm in its belief that Macbook Air 2016 will indeed have the Force Touch system and that the device will also have a thinner design. Moreover, the laptop will reportedly become a competition to Microsoft's Surface Pro 4.

While several reports claim that Macbook Air 2016 will become notable for its major upgrades, they remain mere speculations and Apple has to make a comment about the existence of the device, as well as its release date.
