LA Lakers NBA 2015 trade news, rumors: Jordan Hill, Nick Young could be traded by Draft Night

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be busy this season and infusing new blood is expected to be among their itineraries.

The team is expected to unload most of its players, including two initial building blocks which may end up as trade bait once the NBA Draft comes around.

It is a fact that Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer are likely to be out of the Lakers fold and the case could hold true for Nick Young and Jordan Hill.

Young, who had one of his best years in 2013, plummeted in terms of performance last year which sort of puts his high salary contract in question. The Lakers could end up trading young to free up more cap space to allow them to pick up potential free agents and top rookies.

Jordan Hill, the hardworking forward who has shown a glimmer of hope up front could be dealt away for a younger player come draft night. Hill has drawn interest from several teams before (before the NBA trade deadline) so it will be interesting to see which team could end up vying for Hill by the NBA draft or in the offseason.

For now, it seems the Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Kobe Bryant are certain to be kept. There is no word on the rest of the players but if a tempting deal comes up, it won't be surprising if the Lakers would bite.

After two dismal seasons, the Lakers may need to act swiftly to get back into competitive form. With an expected revamped lineup imminent, it remains to be seen what kind of magic head coach Byron Scott and general manager Mitch Kupchak have up their sleeves.

Aside from the rookie draft, the Lakers are expected to be in the race for top name free agents in the offseason. Among the big names they are expected to pitch for include LaMarcus Aldridge, Rajon Rondo, Goran Dragic and perhaps even Greg Monroe.

Of the bunch, it seems that only Rajon Rondo could be coming over although it would depend on his asking salary.
