LA Lakers NBA 2015 trade rumors: Ty Lawson headed to the Lakers?

The Denver Nuggets have so far not changed their minds as far as trading Ty Lawson is concerned and multiple teams are reportedly interested in the 5-foot-11-inch guard who was the 18th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

One thing that the Nuggets are wary about is the fact that despite taking home $12 million a year, Lawson has been far from being consistent for the Nuggets. And with the recent coming of rookie Emmanuel Mudiay, Lawson may have no place in the rotation of new head coach Michael Malone.

The latest on Lawson is of course his second driving under the influence (DUI) arrest, something that interested teams may want to consider. Though such is an off-court issue, it is still a distraction which could result in Lawson not exactly playing up to par.

All that aside, the multiple teams who have shown interest in the 27-year-old guard include the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, and the Houston Rockets.

Of that mix, the only sensible team that could put Lawson's talent to good use seem to be the Houston Rockets.

It is no secret that the Rockets are looking to load up on their guard rotation, an area that needs addressing especially in their recent NBA playoff stint.

The Rockets struggled to get their machine going and had to improvise. Patrick Beverly, who was incidentally re-signed to a new pact, was out of commission due to injury. But the question now is on whether the Rockets have the ample salary space to accommodate Lawson.

The Lakers are, of course, on the prowl for available talent and word has it they may even try to pull off a trade involving Nick Young.

The Pistons on the other hand could be preparing for a Brandon Jennings departure once a suitor shows interest.

The Kings were reportedly also interested; although like the Lakers and the Pistons, it doesn't make sense for them considering they are loaded in the guard position.

For now, there is no definite word on which team has the inside track or if the trade is happening any time soon.
