Justin Bieber: Put God and family first

Girls collapse in a wailing frenzy at the sight of him but Justin Bieber’s first love is God and his family.

He’s just scooped the choice music male artist award at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday and lost no time in giving Jesus a mention.

Picking up the surfboard-styled award, Bieber had a positive message for the screaming audience.

“I want to say that anything is possible … You got to keep God first and always remember to keep family first. Jesus loves every one of you!”

It’s a message he’s offered before, telling Entertainment Tonight earlier this year: “If you put God first and remember to always stay humble and always be gracious then anything can happen.”

Despite his global superstardom, good looks and huge personal wealth, the young pop star has never been shy about his Christian faith.

Earlier this year, he toured religious sites in the Holy Land and got a Jesus tattoo on his left rib cage.

He always credits God with helping him to stay grounded, a view his Christian mother, Pattie Mallette shares.

She said in an interview with Baptist Press earlier this year that she kept her son grounded through prayer, by surrounding him with good people, and by “constantly reminding him that he’s here for a reason”.

"The Biebs", as he's also known, recently took a month off “to grow up” and is currently working on a new album in which he is collaborating with Chris Brown and Will.i.am.
