HTC will reportedly be offering a new high-end device by October with the HTC One M9. The said device is actually the HTC Aero but it seems that the company is doing some rebranding tactics in light of the poor performance of the current One M9.

The said device is being groomed as the new flagship of the company and something that HTC plans to offer against Apple's next upcoming device, the iPhone 6S. For those who are unaware, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are also rumored to be coming out this October.

News about the HTC Aero or the HTC One M9 was hinted as early as June by the company's CEO Cher Wang. The upcoming device will reportedly carry marked improvements from its predecessor which they believe would make it worthy of being billed as a flagship device.

To date, the official features of the said device have yet to come out in the open. As far as the upcoming device's specs are concerned, rumored ones will have to suffice for now.

Among the rumors tied up with the HTC Aero or HTC One M9 include a premium looking handset that will reportedly be thin and encased in a full metal body.

The device will be headlined by a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and feature a 2.5D curved glass display that will be ably protected by a Gorilla Glass 4 panel.

Inside, the HTC Aero will bank on a MediaTek Helio X20 processor supported by 4 GB of RAM. It will also come with a rear camera boasting of a f/1.9 aperture which allows it to take high quality photos even under low lit conditions. As for the operating system (OS), word has it that the HTC Aero or One M9 will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

With regards to pricing, the said device could range between $500 to $600, although all that has yet to be confirmed by HTC.

With about a month to go, here is hoping that HTC provides more details and specs for their new flagship device.
