After the explosive season 3 finale of "Graceland" that ended with a huge cliffhanger, the fate of the show remains in limbo since USA Network has yet to announce if the action-packed drama will return for a fourth season.
By the end of "Graceland" season 3, the residents of the sequestered beach house in Southern California quickly turned from being the law enforcers to being the outlaws. In the episode, Dale Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren) decided to become a fugitive by stealing the $9 million AFT money and leaving Graceland with his girlfriend Courtney Gallo (Annie Ilonzeh) when he realized that his past crime would soon haunt him.
Meanwhile, Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) urged Sean Logan (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) to sign a Homeland Security report to make sure that Martun Sarkissian (Peter Stormare) will rot in jail. But to be able to do this, Briggs should convince Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) to sign the report as well even if he knew that it would be impossible. Mike eventually agreed to sign the report, but Briggs must give in to some of his demands like allowing Vin Kadek Pendit (Mahedi Rakib) to go back to Bali.
A deadly encounter between Briggs and Ari (Rhys Coiro) and the Soto Street gang happened before the season ended. Briggs realized that Ari must die because they could all go to jail once the authorities discovered the real reason behind the blood bath.
But after the finale aired last week, fans of the crime drama want to find out if the series will still return for a new season.
Series creator Jeff Eastin recently talked about the plans for the series. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he confirmed that they still have no idea if the show will be picked up for another season.
"We don't know if we have a season 4 yet, but there's been rumblings and we've been sitting down creatively trying to figure out what we want to do, but really that was it," the series creator said. "The idea this year was to push everybody as close as we could to that edge, and hopefully make it as interesting as possible. I'm really happy with it. For me, this was the best season we've had so far."
Still, Eastin believes that they have a good chance to be extended for another season.
In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Eastin shared: "We haven't been canceled. Our numbers keep creeping up; I'm very happy about that. I'm fairly hopeful."
