American evangelist Franklin Graham decided to spend his Valentine's Day with his father Billy, and when the two warriors of God talked about the day of hearts, they fondly remembered one special lady—the late Ruth Graham.

"It was good to visit my father Billy Graham yesterday at his home in Montreat, NC," Franklin writes on his Facebook page. "One thing's for sure, at 97 years old and almost nine years after her death, my father still misses my mother —his Valentine — more than words can say. They were married for nearly 64 years!"

Franklin is happy knowing that even though Billy and Ruth have been separated by death, they will still be together in heaven. That thought sustains the family and makes them look forward to the future.

"The good news is, he confidently looks forward to seeing my mother again in Heaven someday soon. That confidence of eternity in Heaven is something we all can have if we have surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ and received Him by faith as our Savior and Lord," he says.

Franklin then shared the Bible passage Philippians 3:20-21. It reads: "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself."

Earlier, Franklin expressed gratitude to God for blessing him with loving parents who serve as his role models. "My father has said that he could not have imagined loving my mother any more than he did that day—but as time went on, he realised that he loved her even more with every passing day. That's still true," Franklin shared.

"I'm thankful for their great example of a loving Christ-centred marriage," he added.
