Zondervan has announced a new project in partnership with the Evangelical Alliance to re-establish Christians as the 'good news' people.

Entitled An Agenda for Change, the project comprises the launch of a book and a tour across the UK to initiate a conversation addressing evangelicals in contemporary culture.

The book is authored by the Evangelical Alliance's General Director, Joel Edwards, who will participate in the 20-city tour speaking to the Christian community and starting a conversation around the role for evangelicals in society today and into the future.

The tour will flesh out the Alliance's mission statement, uniting evangelicals to present Christ credibly as good news for spiritual and social transformation.

During the tour, Dr Edwards will elaborate on his book's priciple argument that biblical witness is not called to tip-toe through the 21st century, but to transform society by presenting Christ credibly to the culture.

He will set out a new vision for evangelicalism reclaiming the idea that evangelicals are a 'good news' people called to a long-term vision for spiritual and social change.
