Chiwetel Ejiofor, who will play the role of Baron Mordo, finally provided fans something to ponder about regarding the upcoming 2016 Marvel movie "Doctor Strange."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Academy Award nominee expressed his excitement about doing the superhero film, but decided to stay mum about other details. He did dish on his other co-stars, which include no less than award-winning artists Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton. British superstar Cumberbatch will be playing the lead role, while Swinton will take on the challenge of giving life to the character of the Ancient One.

"Benedict is a good friend of mine, so it's gonna be fun. And Tilda Swinton — I haven't worked with her, but I'm excited to... She's brilliant," said Ejiofor.

Before Ejiofor's interview, what little information the fans knew about the upcoming superhero film came from the concept art released during the D23 Expo by Disney in early August. Screen Rant described the artwork as "Marvel's Fantasia," while comparing the movie to "Inception."

Tech Times has provided a brief background on "Doctor Strange's" story, saying it delves into the "magical and mystical realms." The comic has expanded the Marvel Universe by further "pushing outside of reality," as compared to other works like "Ant Man" and "Guardians of the Galaxy."

The comic book was created by artist Steve Ditko and first hit the newsstands in July 1963. It featured Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange as the "all-powerful sorcerer and Earth's protector from mystical menace." Apparently, Strange was once a gifted neurosurgeon.

While certainly brilliant in his profession, there was a flaw in the doctor's persona — his arrogance. He cared more for his bank balance than his patients. It was not until he had an accident that things started to change for him.

Unable to use his hands, the doctor looked for ways to restore his physical capabilities. That was when he found the Ancient One, who thought him the mystic arts. From then on, Strange's life took an even stranger turn, as he found himself defending the world against the evil forces.

"Doctor Strange" is slated to hit the cinemas in November 2016.
