In a few months time, everyone's favorite CIA assassin Jason Bourne will take on a new mission in the upcoming film "Bourne 5."

Apart from "The Martian" star Matt Damon leading the charge, the much-awaited installment of the action spy film will also see Oscar-nominated "The Danish Girl" star Alicia Vikander in action as a new (but still anonymous) character.

During an interview with The Wrap, the actress talked about what fans can expect of the film and most importantly about the role she plays. "I'm not doing the conventional action but I'm very action-driven in this film," Vikander revealed.

"But it's not in the way most people would think," the star added, keeping a cloak of mystery around her role despite letting out a juicy titbit about it. During the chat, she also admitted that it was a new, not to mention massive, experience filming "Bourne 5."

Vikander revealed that in previous films she starred in back when she was in Sweden, there are only "30, 40 people" on standby. "The Danish Girl" had around 100 people on set. "Bourne 5," on the other hand, has 1000 people as extras alone.

Another plus for Vikander in being part of "Bourne 5" is having the opportunity to work with Damon (she admits that she is his "biggest fan"), which is why co-starring in the film was extra special to her.

Vikander gushed that Damon is "very funny on set" and that he is actually "as extremely cool as" his character. In line with this, Damon himself teased what's to come in "Bourne 5" and where fans will see Jason when the movie starts.

"There's been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties. We find him in a dark and tortured place," the actor, who is also nominated for an Oscar award this year, revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

"Bourne 5" hits the theaters July 29, 2016.
