Visceral Games and Electronic Arts finally revealed more information about the upcoming DLC pack for the shooter game  "Battlefield Hardline." Called "Criminal Activity," the very first DLC pack for the latest installment in the "Battlefield" series will feature four new multiplayer maps.

In an interview featured in the Don'tReviveMeBro podcast, "Hardline's" Multiplayer Producer Zach Mumbach revealed that the new maps featured in the DLC will have an urban setting between Florida and California. He also said that two of the new maps have a night setting wherein players can enjoy using some of the weapon attachments like the flash hiders and infrared scopes.

Mumbach also shared that the "Criminal Activity" DLC will offer several new vehicles. However, there will be no airplanes present in the upcoming release. The producer explained the absence of airplanes, saying that the new maps were designed with close-quarters in mind, which will make the planes out of place.

"I just don't see how to work it into the fiction of what we're doing," Mumbach said. "I'm not necessarily anti-planes, but when I play [Battlefield 4], it just feels like they're fighting each other."

Apart from the aforementioned details, Mumbach was mum about the other inclusions in the upcoming "Battlefield Hardline" expansion pack. However, he assured fans of  access to the new downloadable content whether they subscribe to the Premium membership or not. However, Gamespresso claims that "Criminal Activity" will be released two weeks in advance for Premium players.

"We're obviously doing a ton of Premium stuff, but we're also going to support players that just bought the game and aren't necessarily Premium," Mumbach said. .

The "Criminal Activity" DLC for "Battlefield Hardline" is slated for release this summer.
