Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are set to release Batman: Arkham Knight but it won't be this October as originally planned. It will instead be launched in 2015, and it will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PCs.

"We just want to make this the best experience that we can, and that takes time," Guy Perkins, the marketing manager for Rocksteady Studios, told GameSpot last June. "We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be."

He further said, "We just need more time to do that. If we didn't give the team more time to do it, then we would be releasing something that we weren't happy with. We want to make sure we're absolutely nailing it 100 percent."

While there is no exact date marked for its release, Batman: Arkham Knight is currently one of the most highly-anticipated games. In the recent Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3 2014) held last June 10 to 12, the game garnered several accolades from game critiques, including Game Informer's Best Action Game award, the 2014 Game Critics Award for Best Action/ Adventure Game, and IGN's Best Xbox One Game.

In the game, the player controls the Caped Crusader in a singe-player third-person point of view, and they can use a wide range of weapons, such as grapnel guns, line launchers, and other gadgets. The character can glide, and the Batmobile can be summoned, driven, and controlled. Both man and car are upgradable.

Players will certainly need all of Batman's gadgets, wits, and strength since they will have to face Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, the Riddler, Harley Quinn, and a new villain called Akham Knight – said to be a militarized version of Batman.
