Apple iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak release date update latest: Jailbreak tool still nowhere in sight

It appears that the long-awaited Apple iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak tool won't arrive any sooner. In fact, it might not arrive at all. With the Apple iOS 9.3 dawning upon users, there remains no indication of a jailbreak coming out.

 Apple Developers

It's not like the iOS 9.2.1, the latest software from the Cupertino-based company available on iPads, iPhones and iPod Touch units, is impenetrable since a developer from Italy managed to crack the firmware's beta version.

Luca Todesco has managed to jailbreak the iOS 9.2.1 beta and showed proof via his Twitter account. Despite his success, he chose not to spill the beans on how he did it and opted against releasing his very own jailbreak to the public.

The developer admitted that it wasn't easy jailbreaking the Apple software. It proved extra difficult to gain access to it compared to the previous software releases. This could be why hacking groups TaiG and Pangu are yet to come up with their versions of the iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak.

It won't take long before Apple releases the iOS 9.3 (the fourth and final beta version has arrived). Some reports say that jailbreak development teams will wait it out until the new operating system releases and just do a jailbreak tool based on it.

However, Apple has been taking measures in making its devices and products virtually impenetrable by outside entities. This could certainly endanger the jaibreaking business as fans know it.

A couple of months back, there were reports that Pangu was close to putting out the iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak. Unfortunately, the team encountered a setback that put them all the way back to square one. TaiG has been particularly mum about their project as well.

It looks like an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak is still far off. That being said, fans are recommended to stay away from phony jailbreak offers that only install viruses on their devices. It is a lot safer to wait for official news from credible hacking teams.
