The Internet was in uproar when controversial photo of Will Smith's 13-year-old daughter Willow Smith with a shirtless actor emerged online.

The photo was uploaded by 20-year-old actor Moises Arias on his Instagram account, which led to speculations that the two were dating. In the photo, Moises was not wearing a top and was laughing while Willow lie on her side beside the actor. More outrageous claimed that the snap was an "After Sex Selfie," which has gained notoriety in photo sharing sites like Instagram.

However, US Weekly cited a source close to Smith's family who claimed that Willow and Moises were just good friends. The photo was not for a magazine shoot or an upcoming project but was all for fun just like what normal kids do these days.

"It wasn't for a shoot, just for fun, they both love to take photos and enjoy being creative with their shots. They are like family, brother and sister, and there is nothing sexual about the photo," said the source.

Moises was also very close to Willow's brother Jaden. "Moises calls Jaden his best friend. They are very, very close and he's been hanging with Justin Bieber through Jaden after that. He had a girlfriend but he's single now. Girls are actually all over him. He's a super charming kid, but harmless," the source quickly added.

Willow and Moises have not commented on the rumors. The latter immediately took down the photo minutes after it was posted but gossip web sites were quick to get hold of a copy of the photo.

Willow's mother Jada Pinkett-Smith slammed the critics of her daughter's controversial photo. She said, "Here's the deal. There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash into it. You're acting like covert pedophiles and that's not cool."

Will Smith and Jada admit that they were raising their kids in an unconventional way and treat their children as mature individuals who were responsible for their own decisions.
