It is still unconfirmed if the release of "Watch Dogs 2" will happen, but the developer might have hinted that they are working on the sequel of the game.

Developer Jonathan Morin shared to GamesTM that "Watch Dogs" developers are faced with the problem of making its sequel better, which hint that the developing team is already mulling on what to include in the follow up to "Watch Dogs."

"When you start a new project, it's a blank page and everything you do is what you want to do. With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way. We have to give something hard to do. If we don't, they could fade out, which means you don't benefit from their knowledge or they will leave. Our team is really assimilated with the challenge we have and who knows where it will lead us next," Morin said.

He also added that the current "Watch Dogs" game is far from perfect and there is a lot of room for improvement. However, developers try to deliver what they deem fit at the moment.

Although nothing is concrete about "Watch Dogs 2," there are already speculations on what could be packed in the sequel of the game. According to rumors, an idea was thrown on the table saying that Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney will be the new protagonist in the sequel replacing Aiden Pearce. In the current game, T-Bone's background and his personal connections with people make him a good candidate for a spin-off.

"Watch Dogs" follows the story of IT expert Aiden Pearce who fight his enemies with information technology and his superb hacking abilities turning the City of Chicago into a weapon.

"Watch Dogs 2's" purported release date is on July 2016 and will most likely head to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
