Top 5 handsets for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2014

A slew of smartphones were released recently but some smart buyers have decided to wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to get their hands on the devices they want because of the deals and discounts that are available during the annual shopping events. 

Below are the top five smartphones that one should watch out for on Black Friday and Cyber Monday:  

iPhone 6 

iPhone 6 boasts a 4.7-inch screen display, A8 processor, fingerprint sensor, 8 MP back camera and 1.2 MP front-facing camera. The handset runs with the latest iOS 8 that gives rise to various software features such as Apple Pay and iHealth. 

Some retailers already revealed some of their Black Friday deals and discounts. U.S. electronics retailer Best Buy will offer the 16 GB iPhone 6 for half the price. The handset will cost $99.99 with a two year contract. Meanwhile, Walmart will offer the 16 GB iPhone 6 for $179 with $75 Walmart gift card, plus another $200 gift card for a smartphone trade-in. 

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 

Samsung Galaxy Note 4's specs and features include a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED at 571 ppi, 2.7 GHz octa-core processor; 3GB of RAM, 32 GB of onboard storage expandable up to 64 GB; 16-megapixel rear-facing camera featuring a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer, 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 3220mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, and S-pen stylus. 

Google Nexus 6 

The Nexus 6 boasts a 6-inch screen display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and 493 ppi, quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 SoC, Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 13 MP rear camera, and 3220 mAh battery. 

Google has not announced the Nexus 6 deals yet, but the tech giant will surely offer a discount in the Play Store. 

Moto X (2014) 

The new Moto X (2014) packs features such as 5.2-inch Full HD screen display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC clocked at 2.5 GHz with 3 GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, 32 GB of internal storage, 13 MP rear shooter with dual LED flash and 4K video capture, 2 MP front-facing camera, and 2300 mAh battery. 

LG G3 

LG's latest handset dubbed as LG G3 packs some of the latest specs and features. It delivers a 5.5-inch screen display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, Adreno 330 graphics chip, the latest Android operating system, 13 MP back camera and 3000 mAh battery. Buyers can take home the device for $99 with a two-year contract with carriers offering the smartphone.
