Fans of the new "Tom Clancy's The Division" video game have been waiting for more information regarding the promised new game modes called "Incursions," which have been revealed to be the game's end-game content akin to raids in an MMO. According to the developer's latest Twitter post, these details will be announced later via Twitch.
According to the post, a Twitch stream video will go live by 11 a.m. PDT/2 p.m. EDT and will focus solely on "Incursions." The scheduled "Special Report" is speculated to tackle how these "Incursions" are activated, how they are played and what kind of rewards players can gain by accomplishing them.
Gamespot reports that the "Incursions" have been described by developer Ubisoft as "new challenging end-game activity developed specifically for squad play." These raids will pit a squad of players against nearly impossible odds in the pursuit of high-level gear, including weapons.
An exact release date for "Incursions" has not yet been announced and many speculate that the Twitch Special Report will also tackle this. It is likely a release date will be revealed or at least hinted at. Some fans speculate that only a few "Incursions" will be released for the time being, with more coming out in the future.
The new end-game content is not the only change coming to "The Division," however. According to a report from Game Rant, the developers are also working on improving the game's division tech crafting mechanic.
While regular crafting has no issue, division tech is suffering from serious bottlenecking concerns given that there are only two sources that players can get the required crafting materials from and there is no guarantee that the chests they get from clearing these sources will get them the materials they need.
An update is confirmed to be released soon and this will re-adjust the game's mechanics in order to resolve the bottlenecking issue.
